Wake up to breathtaking beauty and serenity with this brand new, bright, well-appointed two-floor penthouse condo providing 180-degree views of the expansive jungle and just steps away from the beach. Welcome to the new Santamar community located in Punta Sur, just south of Akumal.

The space

At 1,410 square feet, this 2-bedroom/2-bathroom fully air-conditioned penthouse gives you the space you need to stretch out and truly decompress, in a wonderfully relaxing environment.

(Don't worry about climbing stairs to the upper floor with your luggage. The building has an elevator.)

The state-of-the-art kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, gas cooktop and stove, and a quartz island for greater counter space and lots of easy gathering with family and friends.

The full-size washer and dryer guarantee you never run out of socks or towels, while two smart TVs and high speed Wi-Fi can keep you entertained and/or hard at work (with or without a drink in your hand).

Each bedroom includes incredibly comfortable beds (1 king + 1 queen for a total of 2 beds accommodating four guests) and a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe that can handle more clothes than you could ever bring.

You will find 2 snorkeling gears with fins that you can take to the nearby beaches and enjoy a glimpse of the Caribbean underwater world.

And because it's a penthouse, you can sneak up to your very own private patio where you can take in the sunset from your Jacuzzi.

You can throw a steak on the grill to impress everyone with your mad barbacoa skills. Or you can spend the afternoon sunbathing on one of the comfy chaise lounges. Up to you.

As a guest of Santamar, you�ll have access to the community�s three swimming pools, rooftop terraces with plunge pools, air-conditioned workout gym, yoga area, covered patios with built-in gas grills, and the new Santamar beach club overlooking the blue waters of the Caribbean.

Staying at this penthouse you will be in the heart of the Mayan Riviera, where you will find world class beaches 5 minutes away by car. Archaeological sites, cenotes, and adventure parks abound.
All of this and more is within a half hour drive from your place!

Other things to note
To properly enjoy everything this area has to offer, we recommend you rent a car. Please note that there are no restaurants within the Santamar complex. If you want to have lunch or dinner, the closest option is The Beached Bikini Grill & Bar. You can get there walking on the beach, ca. 500 m to the right. With your rental car you can reach Jungle Fish Restaurant, or many options in Akumal in a few minutes.

Here are a few house and community rules to ensure you have a great time while visiting:

Directions to TAO Santamar

From Cancun Airport, embark on a straightforward 96 km journey along the 307 highway (Carretera Cancun-Chetumal) toward Tulum. The travel time is approximately 1.5 hours. We highly recommend renting a car at the airport.

1.5 km after the town of Akumal (marked by a highway bridge), you'll reach the Bahia Principe resort. Beyond the grand entrance to Bahia Principe Tulum Country Club, spot a return shortly afterward. Execute a U-turn at this point and head back in the opposite direction. After passing Bahia Principe Resort again and another hotel, on the right side, identify a small entrance marked 'PUNTA SUR.' Take this dirt road and drive towards the coast. At the end of the small road, turn right, and there you'll find TAO SANTAMAR.

Upon reaching the 24/7 security gate, kindly present your ID and the QR code you'll receive shortly before your trip.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payments can be made via bank transfer, Wise, or PayPal. (Transfer costs are borne by the traveler).

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A US$100 deposit is required via PayPal.
One week after your departure, it will be fully reimbursed to you if no items are damaged or missing.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A non-refundable Reservation Deposit of US$50 is required to secure your booking and block your dates. It will be discounted from the rental rate.

Full refund of the paid amount (less Reservation Deposit and transfer fees) for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in.
If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund of the paid amount (less transfer fees) for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund of the paid amount up to 7 days before check-in.
No refund after that.
